This program empowers students to build a strong foundation in braiding, comply with state regulations, and confidently start or scale a braiding business. Join us in learning not only how to create beautiful braids but also how to build a business that’s as durable as your braiding skills. Course Duration: 6 Weeks Total Hours: 45 Hours (6 Sessions) Location: Columbus, Ohio Requirements: Open to aspiring braiders, age 16+. Must have proof of 10th grade completion and a valid ID/drivers license. Course Highlights: 1. Hands-on Braiding Techniques: Starting with basic styles, you’ll progress to intricate techniques like cornrow braids, knotless braids, and faux locs. 2. Ohio State Boutique Service Registration: Learn Ohio’s cosmetology regulations, state laws for braiding, and boutique service registration requirements. Our step-by-step guidance on application and documentation ensures you’re fully compliant. 3. Business Startup Essentials: Covering everything from budget creation to marketing, this course teaches how to start and operate a business with minimal funds. You’ll learn how to structure your business, manage finances, and establish a brand. 4. Entrepreneurial Education: Gain skills in client outreach, customer service, productivity, and team-building. Practical tips on time management, reinvestment, and scaling set you up to expand your services and create multiple revenue streams. 5. Final Project and Certification: The course concludes with a hands-on braiding project, which includes performing a full braiding service and submitting business registration paperwork. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certificate, symbolizing your expertise in braiding and business. Cancellation Policy

Enrollment and Fees: • All enrollment fees are non-refundable. This policy helps protect our business and ensure a smooth experience for all students. Attendance and Rescheduling for Group Classes: • The Beginner, Advanced, Kid, and Parent Braiding Classes are group-based and do not require mandatory attendance, though consistent attendance is encouraged for best results. • Missed Class Rescheduling: If a student is unable to attend a session, they may reschedule for a single makeup day. This is allowed once per enrollment and is subject to available dates. • Rollover Enrollment: In cases of unexpected emergencies or conflicts that prevent a student from attending more than one session, the enrollment may roll over to the next available group class. This requires prior notice and approval from Columbus Braiding Co. • Communication Requirement: Non-attendance without prior communication does not guarantee a makeup session. We appreciate proactive communication to support each student’s progress. Conduct Expectations: • To create a safe and respectful learning environment, Columbus Braiding Co. has a zero-tolerance policy for physical or verbal violence. Any instances of such behavior will result in immediate removal from the class, with no refund provided. • Non-attendance alone will not result in removal from the course. Ohio Braiding Course Attendance: • Mandatory Attendance: Attendance is required for weeks 1, 2, 6, and 8 of the Ohio Braiding Course. Completion of these specific sessions is essential for receiving the necessary documentation to apply for an Ohio braiding license. • Makeup Sessions for Required Weeks: Due to state requirements, makeup sessions for mandatory weeks may be arranged on a case-by-case basis, based on availability.
